One monthly plan.
Your website handled.
Hosting, security, updates, edits, and real monthly SEO work — done by the developers who can actually change the code. You get a short report each month and a site that keeps earning calls instead of quietly falling apart.
Websites don't break all at once. They rot.
Most small business websites get launched with a burst of attention and then nobody touches them again. A year later the plugins are two major versions behind, a security notice has been sitting in the admin panel for months, and the contact form stopped delivering somewhere along the way — nobody noticed because nobody was checking.
Meanwhile the business changed. You added a service, dropped another, moved to new hours, hired a second crew. None of it made it onto the site. The photo on the homepage is from the year you opened. The pages got slower as image after image was uploaded straight from a phone. Google noticed all of it: rankings for the terms that used to bring calls slid from the first page to the third, and a competitor in the next town over took the spot.
None of that is anyone's fault. Running a restaurant in Charlottesville or a roofing company in Roanoke is a full-time job, and the website is the thing that can always wait until next week. The care plan exists so it doesn't have to.
Everything a website needs to keep working — and keep ranking
Half of this plan is keeping the site healthy. The other half is the SEO work most "maintenance" plans skip entirely. You need both: a fast, secure site nobody can find is as useless as a well-ranked site with a broken phone number.
Site health
- Hosting and uptime monitoring. We host it or watch the host you have. If it goes down, we know before you do.
- Security updates and backups. Core, plugin, and dependency updates applied and tested. Nightly backups you can actually restore from.
- Content and edits within a monthly allowance. New hours, a new team member, a price list, a seasonal banner. Email us and it's done, usually within a business day.
- Form and email deliverability checks. We submit your forms every month and confirm the message lands in your inbox, not spam.
- Speed and Core Web Vitals upkeep. Images compressed, scripts trimmed, caching tuned, so the site stays fast on a phone in a parking lot.
Monthly SEO work
- Google Business Profile posts and updates. Fresh posts, photos, services, and Q&A so your profile looks alive — the single biggest lever for "near me" searches.
- On-page tweaks. Titles, descriptions, headings, internal links, and schema adjusted as we see what Google is and isn't rewarding.
- One new page or article per month. A service page for a town you serve, an answer to a question customers keep asking, a project write-up. Written for people, built to rank.
- Review monitoring. We watch new reviews across Google and the platforms that matter for your trade, and flag the ones that need a reply.
- A short monthly report in plain English. What we did, what moved, what's next. Written by the person who did the work.
Pricing depends on the platform, the size of the site, and how much monthly work makes sense for your market. Contact us and we'll put together a quote after looking at your site.
Who it's for — and who it isn't
The plan works best for owner-operated businesses where the website is a real source of leads and there's nobody on staff whose job is to look after it.
A good fit if you're…
- ›A contractor, plumber, electrician, HVAC, roofing, or landscaping company that gets work from Google
- ›A restaurant, shop, clinic, salon, or gym whose hours, menu, or services change more often than the site does
- ›A law, accounting, insurance, or real estate office that wants to publish steadily without hiring a marketer
- ›Anyone who's been burned by a site that broke, got hacked, or silently stopped sending form submissions
- ›A business we built a site or app for that wants us to keep it in good shape
Probably not a fit if…
- ›Your website is a placeholder and all your work comes from referrals. Keep the money; get the free audit instead and revisit later.
- ›You already have an in-house marketer or agency doing monthly SEO and just need hosting. We can still host and maintain, but you'd be paying for work you don't need.
- ›You want a guaranteed number-one ranking by a certain date. Nobody honest can promise that, and we won't.
- ›You're a multi-location franchise with dozens of sites. That's a different engagement — talk to us about a custom scope.
Audit first, fix the big stuff, then keep it that way
We don't put a neglected site on a maintenance plan and call it done. The plan starts after the site is in a state worth maintaining.
Start with the free audit
Request the free website SEO audit. We review the site by hand and send back a prioritized list of what's slowing it down, what's hiding it from Google, and what's costing you calls.
Fix the big stuff
The top items from the audit become a short one-time project: speed, broken pages, missing location content, a form that doesn't deliver. If the site is beyond saving, we'll say so and quote a rebuild instead of patching a sinking ship.
Move to the monthly plan
Once it's healthy, the care plan keeps it that way and starts the monthly SEO work. You send edits when you have them, we send a report once a month, and the site keeps compounding instead of decaying.
A developer-run plan beats a "maintenance" reseller
A lot of website maintenance plans are sold by people who can't write code. They click "update all," run a backup plugin, and forward anything harder to a freelancer they found online. When a plugin update breaks your booking form or a theme change tanks your page speed, they're stuck — and so are you.
We're software developers. We build websites and web apps, write integrations, and run our own products in production. When something on your site needs to change, we change the actual code: strip the bloated theme, replace the plugin with twenty lines that do the one thing you needed, wire the form straight to your CRM, fix the thing that's making Google's crawler time out. Nothing gets escalated to a mystery third party because there isn't one.
That's also why the SEO half of the plan works. Technical SEO is mostly engineering, and being able to fix the site instead of writing a recommendation about it is the whole difference. See the SEO services page for what that looks like in practice, or read what a website care plan should include.
