SEO that brings local customers to your door.
We are developers who do SEO. That means we fix the site itself, not just hand you a report about it. Technical work, on-page work, Google Business Profile, practical content, and monthly reporting that tells you what changed and what it produced.
Five kinds of work, all on one site
SEO is not one thing. For a small local business it is a handful of connected jobs, and skipping any one of them caps the others. Here is what an engagement with us covers.
Speed, mobile, crawlability, structured data
We measure Core Web Vitals and fix what drags them down: oversized images, render-blocking scripts, slow hosting, layout shift. We make sure Google can crawl every page that matters and none that do not, that mobile layouts work with a thumb, and that schema markup describes your business, services, and FAQs so Google can show rich results.
Titles, content, internal links
Every page gets a title that says what it is and where, a heading structure that matches how people search, and copy that answers the question a buyer has when they land. Then we link pages to each other so Google understands which page is about drain cleaning and which is about water heaters, instead of guessing.
Google Business Profile, citations, reviews, location pages
The map pack is where local buyers click. We set up your Google Business Profile properly (categories, services, photos, posts, Q&A), get your name, address, and phone consistent across directories, build a review process your staff will actually follow, and write one honest page per area you serve. Practical articles that answer buyer questions
Not filler. We write the pieces your customers search for before they call: what a permit costs in your county, how long a job takes, what to do before the crew arrives, how to choose between two options. Each one targets a real question, links to the service page that sells the answer, and gives your sales calls something to point to.
What changed, what ranked, what called
Once a month you get a short report in plain English: the work we did, the pages and keywords that moved, and the calls, form fills, and direction requests the site produced. We track phone calls and quote requests because that is what pays your bills, not impressions.
Free website SEO audit
Before any of the above, we look at your site and tell you what is actually wrong with it. No obligation, no sales deck.
Request the auditA developer-led SEO shop fixes the site, not just the report
Most SEO agencies audit your website, produce a list of problems, and then email that list to whoever built the site. If nobody owns the site anymore, or the developer is busy, or the platform will not allow the change, the fix never happens. Months go by, the retainer keeps billing, and the same items show up in the next report.
We build websites and custom software for a living, so when the audit says the hero image is 4 MB, the service pages share one template with duplicate titles, or the old URLs are returning 404 instead of redirecting, we open the code and fix it that week. Core Web Vitals, schema markup, page templates, redirects, sitemap, caching headers: these are development tasks, and we do them ourselves.
It also means the site can grow with the SEO plan. When the data says you need a page for each service in each town, we build a template that makes twelve real pages in an afternoon instead of quoting a redesign. When you want a quote calculator or booking form on the page that ranks, we build it.
We also run our own products in production, so we understand hosting, uptime, and what happens when a site goes down on a Saturday. That is why SEO and site maintenance live together in one Website + SEO Care Plan instead of two vendors pointing at each other.
Audit, fix, then keep going
Every engagement follows the same three stages. You can stop after any of them.
Audit
We crawl the site, run speed and mobile tests, review every important page's titles and content, check your Google Business Profile and citations, and look at what your competitors in the map pack are doing that you are not. You get a prioritized list, not a hundred-line spreadsheet. It is free.
Fixes
A fixed-scope project to clear the audit: technical repairs, rewritten titles and headings, new or rebuilt service and location pages, structured data, redirects, and a properly set up Business Profile. You know the scope and the cost before we start, and it ends when the list is done.
Ongoing monthly work
Rankings are earned over months, so the care plan keeps the site hosted, updated, and secure while we publish content, add pages, manage reviews and posts, watch for technical regressions, and send the monthly report. Month to month, no long contract.
Owner-operated local businesses in Virginia
Our SEO work is built for businesses where the owner still answers the phone and knows what a good lead looks like: trades and home services, clinics and practices, retail shops, restaurants, and professional services like accountants, attorneys, and insurance agents. If most of your customers come from within an hour's drive, this is for you.
We know the Virginia markets because we live and work here. Read how the work applies to your area: Richmond, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Lynchburg, Roanoke, and Hampton Roads, or the overview of everything we do in Virginia.

Plumbers, electricians, HVAC, roofers, landscapers, excavation and utility contractors. Map pack plus service-by-town pages.
Clinics & practices
Dental, chiropractic, physical therapy, veterinary, counseling. Provider pages, condition pages, review handling that respects privacy.
Shops & restaurants

Professional services
Accountants, attorneys, insurance, real estate, consultants. Practice-area pages and content that earns trust before the first call.
Shortcuts that cost you later
Some of what gets sold as SEO works for a few months and then gets a site penalized or ignored. We do not do it, and we will tell you if a previous vendor did.
-
No link schemes. No purchased links, private blog networks, or link swaps. Links we earn come from real local sources: suppliers, associations, chambers, sponsorships, local press.
-
No guarantees of #1. Nobody controls Google's rankings. We commit to the work and to honest reporting, not to a position.
-
No keyword-stuffed pages. No fifty near-identical "plumber in [town]" pages with the city name swapped. One real page per area you actually serve, with details that only someone who works there would know.
-
No fake reviews or review gating. We help you ask every customer, respond to every review, and never filter out the unhappy ones before they reach Google.
-
No reports nobody reads. One page, once a month, in plain English. If a metric does not connect to a call or a customer, it is not on it.
